Top 5 QBs Under 25 yrs old

The NFL is filled with a lot of really talented quarterbacks. The league is also filled with some really good young QBs who are seemingly ready to carry the load as the future stars of the NFL. We’re going to take a look at some of the best quarterbacks under 25 in the NFL now.

1. Justin Herbert
San Diego Chargers / 25 yrs old / 6-6 240lbs
62 games / 114 TDs (4.7%) / 42 INTs (1.7%) / 66.6% completion pct / 277.8 YPG / 300 yd games; 25 / 3 TD games; 19
Herbert, like so many young talented quarterbacks that were drafted early, got dropped on to a team that seriously needed help. He has been exceptional in his 4 seasons playing for the Chargers.
With a great arm that throws with high velocity and the ability to process defenses in a few brief moments, it has been amazing to watch him.

2. CJ Stroud
Houston Texans / 22 yrs old / 6-3 220lbs
15 games / 23 TDs (4.6%) / 5 INTs (1.0%) / 63.9% completion pct / 273.9 YPG / 300 yd games; 6 / 3 TD games; 1
Coming out of the NFL draft in 2023, he was definitely the QB out of that draft class with the highest ceiling. What was considered by many to not be a great QB draft class overall, he has taken the reins and has really been outstanding in his first year. If what we watched in his first season is a glimpse of what he could become, then he’s going to be a real problem on the field for many years.

3. Jordan Love
Green Bay Packers / 25 yrs old / 6-4 220lbs
27 games / 35 TDs (5.3%) / 14 INTs (2.1%) / 63.7% completion pct / 176.5 YPG / 300 yd games; 2 / 3 TD games; 5
After biding his time, and sitting for 3 seasons behind future Hall of Famer, Aaron Rodgers, Jordan has finally taken over as the man for Green Bay. And has shown a bigtime arm and a really smooth ability to make a lot of difficult throws. Green Bay appears as if they’ve rolled right into another great quarterback situation, again.

4. Brock Purdy
San Francisco 49ers / 24 yrs old / 6-1 220lbs
25 games / 44 TDs (7.2%) / 15 INTs (2.4%) / 68.7% completion pct / 226.2 YPG / 300 yd games; 5 / 3 TD games; 6
By now, I’m more than sure that everybody is well aware of the “Mr Irrelevant” story, but the fact of the matter is, Brock is a good quarterback. Oddly enough, it seems that there are many very differing opinions about Brock, either you think he’s a good QB or you think he’s just a guy playing in the right system. He has really nice timing, and has shown to be excellent going through his progressions to find the right guy on the field, he makes smart decisions and has been very good for the San Francisco 49ers in his 2 seasons. Purdy should have SF in the Playoffs for another run this season.

5. Tua Tagovailoa
Miami Dolphins / 25 yrs old / 6-1 225lbs
53 games / 81 TDs (4.9%) / 37 INTs (2.3%) / 66.9% completion pct / 238.5 YPG / 300 yd games; 12 / 3 TD games; 9
Tua has a calm, cool and collected aura about him. Certainly adding lethal big play WR Tyreek Hill at wide receiver certainly elevated his game. He may not have the strongest arm of the QBs in the NFL, but his pinpoint accuracy and his ability to throw the ball medium range in the tight windows is exceptional. He also showed his ability to make throws on 3rd down with 38 TD passes and a 98.3 rating. Unfortunately, we will see if he will be able to continue with his injury history.

In the age bracket that we’re discussing, these are the top 5 guys that the NFL has to offer.
All 5 of them look to have a great future with promise.
Who do you think we got right, who do you think we got wrong?
